What Is Alexa and Why Is It Important For Your Blog or Website?

Alexa is a famous ranking system for all the websites and blogs on the Internet. Unlike the Google bot, which indexes your website page the Alexa bot fetches some basic info and assigns a rank.
The factors are completely dependent upon the Traffic that you receive and the demographic view of the website. So let’s take NPXP as the example.

Currently NPXP ranks at 8 Lac globally and is 29k in India in 9 Days. This means that the blog visitors are mainly from India. So as a blog owner I need to put in content that my visitors are after.
To maintain the stability I would just need to ensure the quality of the articles written are of high standards. Along with this I have to make sure that the visitors come back for more every day. With a confidence of desiring to be the Best Webmaster Blog in India and elsewhere, I have dedicated my time to improve NPXP to the max. So where does Alexa come into the picture in this. How is it associated with the success with the community of Bloggers?


Since there is no universal ranking feature that is followed by everyone, Alexa is taken into account as the best ranking system in the world for all the websites. As a blog owner you would definitely need some sort of inspiration to continue with the progress and make the best out of your blogging. With Alexa this is possible because once your blog gets crawled by their bots everyday at 12 PM IST the rank is updated.
I love to see the progress of my blog everyday and I do hope that you would be interested in doing this So start working towards improving your Alexa ranking. I do know that not many believe in this concept. But for those who do I have something to share. It’s fun to blog but when you are serious about what you are doing then start comparing your site with others. The best way to compare the other sites is simply logging on to Alexa and checking for both the ranks.
